Licensed Automotive Technician (MUST be 310S to apply)

Laplante Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Embrun ON is looking for a Licensed Automotive Technician / Mechanic (MUST be 310S to apply) to fill a full-time position. Moving to a new dealership this spring. It is a true state-of-the-art facility with A/C shop and new equipment.

Job summary:
The incumbent will perform general repair and maintenance services on customers’ cars, light-duty trucks and heavy-duty trucks while maintaining the highest level of performance and attention to detail.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Licensed Automotive Technician (MUST be 310S);
  • Valid driver's license;
  • Must have experience analyzing mechanical and electronic malfunctions utilizing diagnostic tools;
  • Must have experience performing scheduled vehicle maintenance services and inspect for necessary repairs;
  • Team player.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Proficiency in identifying mechanical issues and executing repairs;
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed.

Automotive Service Advisor

Laplante Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM is seeking for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor with an understanding of the automotive service department, great customer experience, bilingual will be considered an asset and a desire to succeed and contribute to the growing Service department and to the success of the company. Responsibilities:
•Welcome customers as soon as they enter the building;
•Open work orders and expertly recommend required automotive maintenance and repairs to the customer;
•Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicle;
•Must serve and advise customers in order to meet their needs, both on the phone and in person.

Qualifications: (Requirements and Competencies)
•Must have 1-2 years experience as a Service Advisor in the field of automotive;
•Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in the Service Department;
•Must have experience dealing with different types of people in a retail environment;
•Must be able to effectively communicate with all other departments in the retail facility;
•Bilingual in both French and English will be considered an asset;
•Ability to work in a fast-paced industry;
•Willingness to spend time with individual customers, even in a hectic and busy environment;
•Focused, driven, team player, with strong and effective communication skills.
